Technical Aide - Diagnostic Radiology

Position Overview

As a Technical Aide, you'll be an essential member of our healthcare team, working alongside radiologic technologists to support patients during imaging procedures. Your role helps create a positive and efficient experience for patients receiving radiological services.

Key Duties

• Serve as a communication link between patients, technologists, nurses and physicians
• Transport patients between care units and radiology department when needed
• Help transfer patients between stretchers, wheelchairs and examination tables
• Assist with patient preparation for procedures, including changing as required
• Support patients with positioning and mobility during examinations
• Provide administrative support to the department as needed
• Answer phones and manage messages

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or comparable work experience
• Prior patient care experience required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong organizational abilities and communication skills
• Physical capacity to stand/walk for extended periods and safely assist with patient transfers
